🧵 What’s a Flannel Board, anyway?
A flannel board is simply a soft board where felt pieces stick like magic… without the actual magic (sorry!). Pair it with a flannel board set (your characters, shapes, animals, letters, whatever the theme may be), and suddenly you’ve got a super visual, fun way to lead songs, rhymes, stories, or early learning activities.

🧠 Do I need a flannel board to use your sets?
Yep! You’ll want a felt surface to stick the pieces onto.

🆘I can't download my pattern.
How Felt Board Patterns Work
A quick rundown of what you’ll receive and how to access your files.
- When you purchase a pattern from Flannel Board Fun, you won’t receive a physical product in the mail. The pattern, instructions, and guides are PDF digital downloads that you can save, print and use.
- In order to use the PDFs you’ll need to have a PDF reader installed on your computer. In case you don’t have it, here’s a link to Adobe Acrobat. It’s the standard PDF reader, and it’s free.
- You’ll see a confirmation message right after you checkout. Don’t leave that page–download and save your files right there.
- Your patterns will also be emailed to you immediately after your purchase is completed. You’ll get a confirmation email receipt with links to click on. (Don’t see it? Check your social/promotions/spam or junk folder and email me if you don’t see it there.)
- Your files will be in one or two zipped folders (.zip). Fear not! You simply click on the file names and they will download to your computer. Then you can unzip them (aka “extract” them) and save them to your computer.

Definitely. Every pattern comes with step-by-step written and (really cute) visual guides, bonus ideas, and video tutorials.
👶 What age are your Sets best for?
- Storytime Sets: Best for toddlers through early elementary ages! They’re designed to draw in young kids with stories, songs, and playful interaction.
- Kids’ Sets: Made for independent play for kids ages 3 and up. You know your kids best — and since some little adventurers still love to explore the world with their mouths, a bit of adult supervision is always a good idea.
📦 Are these safe for kids?
Yes! All sets meet U.S. toy safety standards and are safe for ages 3 and up. Adult supervision isn’t a must in every moment—but since some little ones still like to explore with their mouths, it’s a smart idea when needed. 😊
🖨️ Can I use your patterns with a Cricut or cutting machine?
They’re designed for scissors, but some crafty folks adapt them with cutting machines. (I don’t provide SVG files or technical support for cutting machines.)
🧵 Can I sell finished sets that I make from your patterns?
Nope, my patterns are for personal use only.
But good news: you’re absolutely welcome to make sets for your own classroom, library, or personal stash of felt fun!
