Who doesn't want to add a bit of transportation fun to their homeschool, preschool, or circle time? Teachers and librarians will love the multiple rhymes, songs and games that are included, and kids will love to to independently sort, count and imagine with this adorable and durable felt board set.
This sturdy and extra large transportation-themed flannel board set is crafted of long-lasting wool blend felt, and is perfect to use on your flannel board while the children watch and/or participate in the included songs and rhymes. Pieces range from ~6" to ~8" wide! (These pieces are too big to fit all at once on a Flannel Board Fun Play Mat all at once, and are best suited for a standard sized felt board.)
The large felt board pieces come with a laminated cardstock steering wheel; the lyrics to three original transportation versions of classic preschool tunes; and the instructions for a steering wheel hide and seek game.
You get the following 12 vehicles: car, truck, bus; train, street car, subway; helicopter, rocket, airplane; sailboat, ship, submarine.
But wait--there's more! Six laminated cards (4"x4") are provided for sorting games (instructions and ideas are included). You get these adorable laminated sorting cards: rail, road, sky, water; many and few. Things get interactive with these cuties!
Rhyme and song titles are "Motor Vehicle Count Up", "Let's Explore for Vehicles", and "Look at All the Vehicles". Lots of transportation vocabulary words are sprinkled within the songs, which are simple to learn!
A list of vehicle picture book titles is included, too, as well as the numbers 1-5.
You're all set for your transportation story time, and children will love playing with these sturdy pieces independently, too.
These beautiful felt pieces are great for simple transportation conversation starters and vehicle versions of games like "What's Missing", as well.

I am pleased with this set. It has so many components and options for use, which makes the investment worth the price. The pieces are colorful and well made. I like that there are some less common vehicles included, such as street car and subway and submarine. My kiddos are young (2-3 yrs old) and enjoyed the sorting activity, “look at all these vehicles” chant, and especially “steering wheel hide and seek” (all of which had words and instructions included).
